Fujitsu Releases Ultra Low Profile Thermal Printer Series

Fujitsu Components America Inc. today announces the release of one of its smallest 24V thermal printer mechanism series, the FTP-6xGMCL series. The printers are targeted to OEMs developing compact self-service solutions for industrial, instrumentation, medical, retail, and transportation industries. 

Featuring a 20 percent lower profile than Fujitsu’s previous FTP- 6x9MCL models and a 200 mm/sec (max) printing speed, the new printers conserve mounting space and provide fast throughput. They are ideal for generating receipts, tickets or labels in space restricted, self-service applications, such as ATMs, gas pumps, kiosks, and POS systems. They can also be easily embedded into panel printers or standalone printers.

The FTP-6xGMCL thermal printer series are standard mechanisms that come in 2-inch and 3-inch print widths. Their straight paper path accommodates a range of paper stock from 60 to 150 micro-meters, including liner-less labels and thin tickets (2-inch printer only).

The mechanisms can also be specified with an automatic cutter that performs full or partial cuts. As a safety feature, the cutter retracts when the front cover is opened when changing paper or during maintenance.

Available immediately, a 2-inch FTP-62GMCL mechanism only is priced at $31.00 in 1000-piece quantities.
